4-12-13

Dear Ms. Dunning,
My main presentation will be a PowerPoint presentation which will have screenshots of my app. I will also have a tri-fold with my poster, a flowchart and a description of each page. I will have white tablecloth, and I will a brochure as a give away.

4/19/13

Dear Ms. Dunning,
I think a good presentation is well organized and rehearsed. It has visuals and the presenter sounds confident. It does not matter if you are not confident. Fake it. It works pretty well. Personally, at first, I had trouble with the confidence part but after a few juniors came by and talked to me I was fine. Also, my judge asked me some question I was no expecting but I think I answered it well.

I also had trouble finding a socket to plug my computer into. I brought an extension chord but it was not long enough. Thankfully, I had borrowed my brother's laptop which had a 5 hour battery life. If I had brought my laptop it would have died because it only had 2 hours of battery life. I am glad I was over-prepared because too many things went wrong that day.

I think the first thing that should change is the way the professors talk about the project. I felt like they tried to scare us into doing. I don't think that is a good approach. By the time I was near the end of the project I did not care. I was tired of hearing how I will fail at it and any little thing could make my grade drop. Another thing I believe should be changed is the way end products are approved. I believe that should be done the second semester junior year or middle of first semester senior year. I know people did not know if their end product was approved or not in March.

Slides

Dear Ms. Dunning,
My project is about increasing medication adherence in heart transplant patients in order to decrease the Cardiac Allograft Vasculopathy mortality rate. My slides deal with medication noncompliance and arguments about patients excuses. My first slide warns patients that whether they realize it or not just missing one dose can significantly affect their lifespan. My second slide talks about one of the most common excuse that patients use.

AD

2,332 heart transplants took place in the United States in 2011.

Heart transplant recipients are lifelong patients.  They have to maintain strict post-transplant for the rest of their life. This includes strict diet, exercise, and medication. Medications must be taken at specified times.

They also need to visit their transplant center for follow up examinations, medical adjustments and testing regularly.

Heart transplant completely transforms your life. Heart rejection can come at any time and in many types of rejection, like cardiac allograft vasculopathy, there are very few symptoms. Even a slight fever can mean rejection.

[Name of App] can help you keep track of your new life. Your appointments, medication schedule, diet plan, and your physician is just a touch away. [Name of App] will be available in the app store soon.

Dear Ms. Dunning,
I want to do screen shots for my app and I also want to do a brochure in addition to the website and the poster.
